Current average U.S. retail price of electricity, in cents per kilowatt-hour (cents/kWh) — e.g. "what's the electricity price right now". Reflects the latest monthly data (not real-time), averaged across all sectors combined (not sector-specific), sourced from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Optional 'state' param (2-letter code) returns that state's average instead of the national figure.
