EU VAT number validation against the European Commission's official VIES service
EU VAT number validation against the European Commission's official VIES service, a live query of the issuing member state's national VAT register. Give a VAT id with country prefix (27 EU states plus XI) and get whether it is valid for intra-EU trade, plus registered name and address where the state discloses them. Use it for B2B invoicing and reverse-charge checks, customer onboarding/KYB and supplier data cleaning. Norway is not in VIES: use /firma.
