What can I use instead of an ingredient? From head chef Cristopher's verified substitution answers: send an ingredient (e.g. buttermilk, self-raising flour, crème fraîche), optionally the replacement you have in mind. Returns each answered swap with a verdict (yes / depends, with what it depends on / no), the amount and where it applies, with chef-verified provenance. Unknown ingredients return a free 404 listing the covered ones. Food-safety topics (allergens, preserving) are refused (422).
Paid test badge: not yet. The checks above are free: we call the tool without paying and read the payment request it sends back. The Verified badge needs paid calls whose answers match the promised output, and nobody can buy a badge.
