Is this EU VAT number valid? Live VIES check against the European Commission's official VAT Information Exchange System — validate a European VAT id, verify a business tax id before invoicing, confirm B2B reverse-charge / zero-rating eligibility. Returns the registered trader name and address where the member state discloses them. Deterministic: no LLM. Distinguishes a genuinely invalid number from a member state whose system is merely offline, which VIES itself does not do cleanly.
Paid test badge: not yet. The checks above are free: we call the tool without paying and read the payment request it sends back. The Verified badge needs paid calls whose answers match the promised output, and nobody can buy a badge.
