Indicated if ≥1 major (temperature >39.5 °C, indwelling vascular catheter, suspected endocarditis) or ≥2 minor (temperature 38.3–39.4 °C, age >65, chills, vomiting, hypotension SBP <90, neutrophils >80%, WBC >18 k, bands >5%, platelets <150 k, creatinine >2.0 mg/dL). Not a culture order or sepsis diagnosis. magent does not examine the patient.
