Rai 1975 original CLL staging (stages 0-IV). Returns rai_stage 0-4 from caller-assigned lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly (spleen or liver or both), anemia (Hb <11 g/dL), and thrombocytopenia (platelets <100,000/mm3). Highest applicable: thrombocytopenia 4, else anemia 3, else organomegaly 2, else nodes 1, else 0 (lymphocytosis only). Not a CLL diagnosis; magent does not examine the patient or read a CBC. Not modified Rai. Not Binet (Binet C is Hb <10).
