Canadian C-spine rule (Stiell 2001)

Canadian C-spine rule (Stiell 2001). Cervical radiography is indicated if any high-risk factor is present (age ≥65, dangerous mechanism, or paresthesias in the extremities). If none, radiography is indicated unless at least one low-risk factor allows safe range-of-motion assessment and the patient can rotate the neck 45° left and right. Not a diagnosis, not NEXUS, and not pediatric. For alert, stable blunt-trauma adults with GCS 15. magent does not examine the neck.
