Mild, moderate, or severe only when inputs match a published definition: mild PaO2/FiO2 > 200, localized infiltrates, no pneumothorax; moderate 60 to 200, diffuse infiltrates, with or without pneumothorax; severe < 60, bilateral infiltrates, and bronchopleural fistula.
