Bastion classification of lower-limb IED injury (Jacobs 2014). Caller assigns class 1-5 as the most proximal extent. Returns the class description, associated-injury flags (segmental, intraperitoneal abdomen, genital/perineal, pelvic ring, upper limb), and tourniquet_effective (true for class 1-3, false for class 4-5). Not MESS, not ISS AIS, not a treatment protocol. Paper was not designed for mortality or transfusion rates. magent does not examine the casualty.
